It’s now been exactly a month since I started my quest to “Shed The Christmas Podge”. I’d been so bad over Christmas I wasn’t feeling myself and wasn’t happy with the way my body looked. When I received an email from Missguided asking me to be an ambassador for their new fitness range I knew I had to whip myself back into shape, and quick!

So I set myself a very tough diet plan to follow which more or less consisted of cutting out all the naughty bits (Alcohol/Chocolate/Sweeties). Unfortunately I don’t have will power of steel and did have a few little cheeky bits throughout the month! I’m sure most of us do the same and it really is nothing to beat yourself up about!

I’ve struggled quite a lot with getting back into the swing of clean eating, especially because the plan I’d set for myself was so strict. But overall I’m really pleased with my progress, I feel a lot happier and healthier than I did at the start of the year and I’ve slimmed down a lot.

I haven’t been going to the gym much throughout January, probably only around 3 times a week, I was mainly concerned about my eating. I also had a bit of a problem with the gym I was at so I’ve just joined a new gym that’s only 5 minutes down the road. Now I have no excuses!

February’s already upon us and I’m happy with January’s process, it feels like the ball’s rolling. So instead of being so strict with my diet I’ll be eating more in moderation and upping the exercise instead.

I aim to be in the gym 6 days a week, weight training individual body parts and doing a little bit of cardio. I’ll only train for a maximum of 45mins to an hour each day, no more! I think the easiest way to keep yourself motivated for the gym is to go for lots of short bursts rather than a few long sessions a week.

If you’ve been following my plan to shed the christmas podge please leave a comment and let me know how it went for you! ❤

  1. Hey Chloe, great post! I really enjoyed the ‘Shedding the Christmas Podge’ challenge, it inspired me to lose a few pounds too! I’m curious to know, what camera do you use?
